IT SETUP · OVERVIEW

IT setup overview

Prepare your identity provider and connected systems for Argos SSO, user provisioning, Outlook, and SharePoint.

This section is for identity, security, and collaboration administrators preparing Argos for their organization.

Important

Argos login and Microsoft 365 integrations use separate applications. Configuring SSO does not approve Outlook or SharePoint access, and approving Outlook or SharePoint does not configure SSO.

What Argos provides

Depending on the features your organization enables, Argos provides:

  • A secure, organization-specific WorkOS setup link for SSO and user provisioning
  • The redirect URI for your SSO application registration
  • The SCIM endpoint and bearer token when user provisioning is enabled
  • The fixed Argos Microsoft application client ID for Outlook and SharePoint
  • Support during configuration and testing
Security note

Setup links, redirect URIs, SCIM endpoints, bearer tokens, and tenant-specific consent links can be unique to your organization. Do not copy values from another organization's setup or publish secret values in tickets or documentation.

Before rollout

  • Identify the administrator responsible for identity and application consent.
  • Decide which users or groups should have access to Argos.
  • Confirm whether you need SSO only or SSO with SCIM provisioning.
  • Confirm whether users need Outlook, SharePoint, or both.
  • Plan ownership and rotation for any client secret or bearer token created during setup.
  • Test with a small user group before assigning Argos broadly.
